Eight journalism students from Cosmopoint Kota Kinabalu (KK) led by their lecturer, Ivan Webber made s 'Lawatan Sambil Belajar' to New Sabah Times Head Office on November 29, 2013.
They were briefed on the operations by the newspaper by Chief Sub-Editor, John Manjaji.
The Students had an insight into the printing press where they had the opportunity to observe the process of printing a newspaper right up to the final product. They also toured the darkroom to watch film processing and the editorial department where the sub-editors were busy editing and formatting stories
At the graphics department the students were briefed on the design and layout of pages as well as the output of news from Bernama and international news agencies.
The students also listened attentively and fielded many questions to a reporter by the name of Eric Bagang who briefed them on the life of a reporter.
